TOM WOGOMAN: I have a PINNACLE® metal on metal hip with a tri-lock BPS stem. It’s a smaller version of what is standing behind me. So, people ask me about my hip replacement and, really I can just say, “What hip replacement?” Because I literally don’t know it’s there.
STEVE SWOPE: Last year I actually had a total hip put in. Everybody asked me, “What does it feel like?” And I said, “Until you actually talk to me, I don’t even think about it.” I walk playing golf, I’ve never had any pain. These are devices that go into people’s bodies and make a difference in their lives. And I think about, when I think about the decisions I make at work, it’s really about: am I comfortable with this to the point where I would put this in myself or one of my family members? And the answer is yes.
